“The Amadeus is the most fantastic venue for a wedding. The things that attracted me most were, firstly the incredible menu they came up with (locally sourced where possible), beautiful food for amazing – and I mean amazing – value, tailored exactly to our tastes and requirements. Secondly, how brilliant the staff were, all of them. They said yes to every one of my requests, weird and fussy as some of them were, and even colluded with guests before the wedding to give us a major surprise on the day”. – “Kate Nash
What’s most important on your wedding day? The Amadeus has one simple answer.
Whether you want a Big Top circus tent, clowns and fire-eaters, or a 1950s diner, ice cream van and jive band our aim is to provide you with a space and service that lets you create a wedding experience unique to you.
From discussing ideas, planning menus, decorating and ensuring smooth running on the night, we aim to provide ‘anything and everything possible’ for your special day. We offer:
The Amadeus is adaptable and flexible. The Upper Hall’s large elegant windows with stained glass borders provide wonderful natural illumination. The original pipe organ, wood panelled balcony and graceful Victorian architecture complete the impressive effect. It typically holds 180 guests for dining.
The smaller Lower Hall (seating 80) is a tranquil white space with a brick vaulted ceiling, columns and white wooden floor. Originally the chapel crypt, it also makes for a very special blessing ceremony. Both halls have excellent acoustics and sound insulation.
An ideal combination is to hold a drinks reception in the Lower Hall followed by the wedding breakfast in the Upper Hall, with a disco or band in either hall afterwards.
Book one or both halls, choose from our award winning caterers, or if you prefer provide you own chef for the day. Whatever you decide for your perfect wedding, a wedding reception at The Amadeus is guaranteed to make your day stand out in a space and with a service that is as unique and individual as you.
