About Us
The Amadeus is a former Welsh Presbyterian chapel situated in Maida Vale, North West London and was renovated in 1989 to create a unique and versatile events venue with some of its original features such as the stained glass windows and wood panelled balcony and organ still intact.
We offer two spaces; the Upper Hall and the Lower Hall.
Situated in London’s Little Venice we are a pleasant 15-minute stroll from Paddington station, or less than 5 minutes walk from Warwick Avenue station.

The upper hall has stunning stained-glass windows that flood the room with natural light, a wood-panelled balcony, and elegant Victorian architecture, this space exudes sophistication and charm. Plus, our historic pipe organ adds a touch of grandeur to any event. Holds up to 180 people.

The venue hire also includes two duty managers.
What is the latest time we are allowed to remain in the venue, and what are the associated charges?
The latest finishing time is 2am. Music must be turned off 30 minutes before all finishing times and the bar must close one hour before the finishing time.

What lighting and sound system is included in the hire price?
Are you wheelchair accessible?
We have a wheel chair access to our Upper Hall which also has an accessible toilet directly off the main hall. The access is from Braden street, where access is via small temporary ramp. Access from the front is via 5 steps with a handrail.

Can we enhance the planning and support service provided?
Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?
- While our venue is not licensed for civil ceremonies, we warmly invite you to arrange for a celebrant to officiate a beautiful and meaningful ceremony for your special occasion.
Suppliers
Can I bring my own caterer?
Yes! Clients wishing to use an external caterer which is not on The Amadeus’ list of recommended suppliers must pay an additional £600.
My band requested a green room, do you have one on site?
Yes! We advise the band to leave any equipment in our office and we have two potential rooms where the band can prep before their performance.

How to get to the Amadeus?
The nearest station is Warwick Avenue which is a 6 min walk, or 12 min walk from Maida Vale station or 13 min walk from Royal Oak
Is there parking near at the venue?
- Free street parking on the weekends

- Weekdays up to 4 hour paid street parking in the surrounding streets.

Accessibility in the venue?

Are there designated smoking areas?
Yes. We offer a dedicated smoking area and a charming garden space within our lower hall. Additionally, we offer an outdoor, enclosed patio area just beyond outside the venue. These spaces provide a relaxing and convenient environment for our guests to enjoy while taking in some fresh air or indulging in a quick smoke break.
Are there baby changing facilities on site?
Yes, we have two spaces for baby changing, in the ladies’ toilets.
