A wedding reception at The Amadeus is guaranteed to make your day stand out and produce a service that is as unique and individual as you are. Our commitment to delivering a personalised experience means that we take the time to understand your vision and tailor our services to meet your specific needs
The Amadeus offers exclusive use of our two beautiful halls for Wedding receptions allowing you to make the venue your own. Whether you would like a formal elegant seated meal, or an informal lively buffet and drinks reception we can make your event stand out.
The Upper Hall
The Upper Hall’s large elegant windows with stained glass borders provide wonderful natural illumination. The original pipe organ, wood-panelled balcony and graceful Victorian architecture complete the impressive effect. To further enhance your event, the venue offers a range of versatile amenities including a lighting system and a PA system for playing background music. For an added touch of charm, you have the option of renting a grand piano, which would be perfect for accompanying your entrance or drinks reception.
The upper room can hold up to 180 people with standing and 160 seating. Smaller receptions can be accommodated by creating a more intimate space in the Upper Hall.
The Lower Hall
The Lower Hall is a tranquil white space with a brick vaulted ceiling, columns and a hardwood floor. It is an ideal space to have an intimate drinks reception, followed by a wedding breakfast in the Upper Hall, and then depending on the number of guests either hall can be used for the evening reception.
The Lower Hall can seat up to 100 people with ocassional seating
What we offer

- An on-hand Duty Manager to deal with any, and every, request on the night itself.
- Cloakroom facilities for you and your guests to leave coats and bags.
- No corkage fee – can bring your own alcohol.
Additional Add ons
We understand the importance of creating a memorable atmosphere for your event. Our professional sound system ensures that your favourite tunes and music selections are heard with exceptional clarity.
Sound System Equipment included:
- 2 x 12 inch powered tops / monitors Sudiomaster Vortex
- 4x 15 inch Behringer 2kw full range speakers
- 2 x 18 inch Citronic Subwoofers
- DJ booth
We work with recommended caterers who provide a tailor-made service and have extensive experience at the Amadeus and are ready to discuss all your catering needs.
EXTERNAL CATERER’S: Clients wishing to use a Caterer, not on The Amadeus’ list of recommended suppliers, must pay an additional £600.
